i have this horrible stabbing pain above my belly button. it makes me nauseous and just plain hurts. anyone have a clue what this could be?? should i go into prompt care and get looked at??  My stomach feels very tender but especially in that area.

my body has been messed up for about 2-3 weeks. My joint pain started hurting and got really bad  D (5- 15 times per day).  I have had blood and mucous and losing some weight. I was put on 40 mg of pred 1 1/2 weeks ago. my dr wanted me to do stool samples and came back no white blood cells.  usually with all my symptoms it comes back with some wbc but this time not.   could it be from the pred or a fluke or could i just be flaring w/o that test being postive.

Any advice would be great!

ulcer? hernia? gas? I think you need to have an upper scan done asap.

Can you not take 5ASA meds? If not, put that in your siggie so I don't keep asking. If you can take them...maybe the doc can reconsider to have you on them.

The other thing is that it could be spasming from your flare if none of the above suggestions are it...an antispasmodic could help. Dicyclomine is amazing for me.

Please keep us posted what's going on.

*Heather* I give suggestions, do with them what you will.

My doc's logic.. "TREAT (FROM)BOTH ENDS" worth it !!!

Ive tried ASAs but none were effective (tried asacol and pentasa). I have also been on azathioprine but had a allergic reaction that ended me up in the hospital. I was on remicade but got off of it when I got pregnant. It didn't work anyways unless sI was on prednisone. While I was pregnant I had no symptoms at all and now since she is 3 months old I have tons of symptoms.

I thought it might be gas at first but I took a gas pill and it did nothing to help. Maybe I will go get looked at tonight.

Thanks for the response  I will add my drugs I have tried into my signature.

Keep us posted as to what's up, ok? I've read your post a few times but really had no ideas... but if it is bad pain, that's a signal you should get it looked at.
