My butt is so sore from going to the bathroom a lot and the wiping.  Can anyone recommend a cream or wet wipes to relieve this?  My poor bum is so sore!

Some use calmoseptine, steroid cream, zinc oxide (that's found in diaper cream), A&D cream, olive oil, vitamin e cream, etc.

You can use unscented flushable wipes. Even changing toilet paper can be helpful.

I like to use dry for first wipe, wet for second then wet with Cetaphil cleansing lotion for the last...adjusted for need of course.

I keep the wet wipes cool and hold them on my bum for a few seconds. It feels so cooling.

i've used calmoseptine for my butt when it felt irritated. I think it helps but it doesn't completely stop the pain. It protects the skin which is helpful. I've tried A&D ointment too, i think that one is less helpful.

If you can get a bidet, they are better than any wipe and you can control the temp to either cool the burn or warm it to relax the anal muscles, if a bidet is not an option there are portable ones online that are very simple to install, just make sure you get one that has enough of a stream to do a thorough job of cleaning.
Dx'd with moderate Pancolits 05/07 better with Pentasa and rectal meds as needed.
I also take Probiotics, Fish Oil, Curcumin, Benefiber and cannot tolerate artificial sweetners (never could even before UC) I also stay away from products with high fructose corn syrup.

I am not a healthcare provider. I am offering support and guidance based upon my own research and conclusions.
