I just went to pick up my VSL. They gave me boxes of the packets this time. I have always taken the capsules. I just kept them because my BCBS covered them this time.
I tried mixing it in cold water. The taste was awful. Any suggestions on making taking it a little better? Can I mix it with Cranberry juice?

You can mix it with applesauce or yogurt. I drink mine straight and the taste is fine, mine is unflavored.
I have no opinion for you on cranberry juice because it upsets my stomach

I have heard you have to take a lot of the capsules to get the potency of the packets. I bought the capsules once, while I was in a flare and I didn't notice any improvement in my condition. I haven't bought them since. I think the yogurt or applesauce idea sounds good. Possibly mixing with OJ or cranberry. A smoothie would be good too but they are a pain to make.

I will try to mix my packet tomorrow with my morning juice. I guess I will just get used to it. I heard the packets are better to take also.

After
opening the packet, I must say that I was not brave enough to mix it with liquid. Mixing it with yogurt has been wonderful. You have to stir it well or it will get little lumps, but it has absolutely no affect on the taste of the yogurt.
