Posted about this about a month ago but another update. Been on Proviron for around 3ish weeks now and sex drive is pretty darn good at the moment. Libido is up pretty high think about sex almost all the time and sex life is v good in general!

This is going from having ZERO libido not wanting sex etc and basically never getting "hard".

All in all doctors imo been a total waste of my time including Endoencrologists total waste of time. Wasted a year and half going round in circles with these idiots so I decided to self medicate and trial with a few meds. This little one is deemed an anabolic steroid, doesn't really promote any muscle building as such but it raises DHT and blocks SBGH (sex binding hormone) so in turn will raise a mans libido greatly free's up some testosterone as well.

No negative side effects presented. Liver function is still the same as I get tested every 2 weeks. Bowels have been great touch wood. And no sides like acne etc. Only for men though as DHT + women = no no.

So any guys out there who were suffering same issue as me this might be a good idea for you. Not saying it's a permanent fix but for the short term it is a fix, and I've been reading studys that long term use seems fine as well in general.

Thx. Yeah im looking into that, it's just different pathways and mechanisms for female. So there will be something that can sort it, did you ever try that pt-141?

No, I would like to but I would have to use the nose spray not the shot. I am just so used to having so drive, perhaps this is just how I am. I do notice the lack of drive began around the time the UC came about. I used to have a high sex drive, that's what's so frustrating. Maybe I am just old, lol. Driveless at 33

Don't think nose spray is any use most doesn't get absorbed. Shot is pretty simple really just a slin pin and into the skin nothing hard. I was the same I had a v v v high drive at 19 like animal but then when I was diagnosed and all the mess etc with meds I was like 150 year old man! But now im getting back to how I used to be, after all im only 21 lol.

Drive should still be high at 33, shouldn't really start to slow until mid to late 40s I reckon.

Will accelerate hair loss if you have MPB in your genes. I try to block DHT. I guess at 33 there is a lot more pipe to be layed around town. At my age 47 I dont need to scratch an itch over and over unless I fall in love again. I am busy raising my daughter 5 days a week and putting in 90+ hours consulting. I can take that to the bank. More lay time...I dunno law of diminishing return I guess.

But at 33 I see your point exactly.

I never thought my family had MPB but I get to lifting hard, eating clean and my body fat goes to about 0% and my veins are bulging - then my hair starts falling out. I get it to grow back in but it is a kunundrum, I like the androgenic ( not anaobolic ) effects of DHT but am not interested in going bald.
If it ends up costing you substantial hair will it be worth it in the long run ?

^No mpb in my family, grandad died at 86 with a full head of hair, dad has full head hair etc etc. My hair grows ridic fast and v thick have to get it thinned out literally every 1-2 weeks. Ontop of that im on 6mp drug which side effect is hair loss/thinning so shouldn't be an issue? Besides not using v high doses really just 50mg. And more dht is better for me, androgens is what make a man a man, im not wanting to turn into a female lol!

Im not 33 btw, im 21... but yeah at 47 the wise idea for you IF you wanted to sort things in that department would be going on TRT, test replacement would be ideal as you have had your child and im guessing do not want anymore? so would no doubt be beneficial if you wanted to sort it that is.

Again I lift like 6 days a week on average (2 days on 1 day off) and im pretty ripped sit around 15.5 stone and very low body fat but no issue with hair. But yeah I'd hate that to lose my hair totally agree with you there, but it isn't causing your hair to "fall" out or even thin it's more the fact that it can speed up MPB so it's essentially going to do to you what is eventually going to happen to you anyway, so i.e. receeding etc.

I wondered where the zest went a few years ago and had my testosterone checked it was 600 something. Doc said 'thats not your problem'. Bad marriage and drinking were my problem it turned out.

So I got rid of those then went dating like a mad fool but it simply is not that important anymore. I was having to choose between a girlfriend who should be paying me for the high level of service I was providing ( I know at 18 I was in my prime desire and would have paid for more ) and my daughter who was miserable without me. My daughter seemed more real, the gals just using me. Well they are both using me ! :) But I think my daughter also truly loves me.

The gals seemed to have it backwards at this age. I was looking for a relationship, quite sure the sax will be fine - that we can get it right but all I saw was shallow fullfillment 'so many men so little time'. Well I grew out of that. My mantra used to be to impress the gal with my performance. I am done with external validation in my personal life and a lot of that was driven by ego and wanting to be externally validated.

Now I am an animal about work, billing 90+ hours per week. Hard to do that without DHT because as you indicated its what puts the fire in our bellies. I will choose the DHT over the hair if I have to.
