We really must insist that you stop drinking laundry bleach, Carlie. :-)

Kidding aside, vinegar can provoke diarrhea even in normal folks. But I'd be careful to make the distinction between food provoked diarrhea and diarrhea that is inflammation related. My gastroenterologist's rule: Diarrhea one day, fine; diarrhea two days, fine, diarrhea three days, call me.

all kidding aside, I looked it up, and it may have something to do with insulin production or potassium levels... I will give my GP a call.

Carlie, I found this when I googled "vinegar craving":

Women Craving Vinegar
Many women find that they crave certain foods at some point during their life. Usually a craving for a specific type of food means that they are deficient in a mineral or vitamin that the food offers. These cravings are especially common in pregnant women, with many of them finding that they crave vinegar and other acidic foods. Most people have heard the old wives tale about pregnant women
craving pickles, which have a lot of vinegar in the brine. This tale is actually quite true and a lot of women yearn for vinegar foods while carrying a baby.

Vinegar, and other acidic foods as well, help the body assimilate calcium, which is particularly important when a woman is pregnant. The body starts to crave the food when it is having difficulty storing calcium and getting enough nutrients. Many doctors advise patients to consume small amounts of vinegar on a regular basis to prevent anemia as well. If a pregnant women finds themselves continuously craving vinegar by itself, they should talk to their physician. In some instances, a very strong craving for vinegar can mean the woman has pica, which is an illness linked to nutritional deficiencies.Vinegar is a fairly healthy substance for women to crave. There are several different varieties, including balsamic, apple cider and white. Each has its own taste and is suitable for use in different recipes and foods.
