I have been taking digestacure for 1 year with amazing results. I have very bad uc. Nearly 100% better now. A whole year without any severe flare. Unheard of for me.

it's an aloe derivative. google it. regular aloe is no good as it causes diarrhoea. there are also other brands, i just happened to use digestacure. all are expensive.

anything that is too good to be true usually is. But what is there to lose in trying. Just money...what is money when you have this crappy disease.

somedude, digestacure are pills. when i started them i was reallly, really sick. very bad. as recommended, i broke open the capsules and mixed with water to aid absorption. it doesn't taste great, but not too bad. i could keep it down. i got all the instructions with the digestacure. i also took imodium as suggested by digestacure, also to aid absorption of the aloe. i am not quite 100% so am still taking the full 8 capsules a day. as I said, it has taken me much longer than they say to get well. i have been on it a year and still going. i have tried numerous products but nothing worked except this. For me it has been a miracle. seasons21, i take asacol.

Hi,
I have read about it too and was always curious if it really works. I have tried some Aloe juice and then Aloe concentrate and it caused more pain and diarrhea. After that I tried some incapsulated Aloe, it did not work either but again it was not isolated polysaccharides...
I actually have found the discussion on this forum about it from April 2010:

Either way, I am glad it works for you, Nyl, like I have said, I have not tried it.

Is it true that George's aloe is ok and doesn't cause D because it is distilled?

Being very ill, I was desperate to find something that worked. I have tried a lot of things and sometimes they do work but temporarily. That is why I decided to wait a full year before sharing my experience. Too many times someone is all excited about a product that "works" but they relapse after a few weeks. Although I am not 100% (yet?), I have gone the whole year without a serious flare. This is a first for me. I have had formed stools consistently for a year and no pain. For me, that is truly amazing. I have never had that before. Yes, sometimes I do go several times a day but gone is the watery diarrhoea and terrible cramps. Previously I also tried aloe concentrate but it did nothing for me. I have tried a spectrum of snake oil "cures" even chinese medicine (that sent me into one of my worst flares ever). One thing that I didn't try that I was tempted to try is the fish oil that is supposed to help inflamation. I was scared of that causing worse diarrhoea. I am going to continue with the digestacure and see what happens.

Seasons21,
you need to ask Somedude about George's Aloe. I actually got interested and googled it. What is interesting is that George's Aloe juice is a distillate, "which is comprised of a low molecular weight thereby enabling the body to assimilate its components in the purest form at the cellular level". They "breakdown the mucopolysaccharide chain extracting the sugars in order to eliminate adding any preservatives and increase shelf life". How effective it is, I hope,Somedude will tell us.
Basically, Digestacure and George's Aloe are almost opposite to each other. Digestacure has concentrated polsacchirides and George's Aloe-no polysaccharides. At least this is how I understood it. I might be very wrong though.
P.S. The quotes are from the site.

I tried george's aloe and it put me quickly into a wicked flare- some seem to do great on aloe juice, others badly- as is common for so many of the things we try.

the digestacure website is really weird. i'm not really sure what is all in this supplement. is it just high doses of aloe? it costs a fortune and seems like a scam to me.
