Has anybody ever had a stabbing pain in their lower left abdomen which comes and goes?  I've been having this since Saturday and it won't seem to go away. I've had pains in my left side from my colitis but never something that went on for this long. I do have a groin injury but that tends to hurt lower down in my actual 'groin' area and pubic bone area where I get muscle spasms (very annoying!).
I also have been having pain in my left side and back which seems less frequent.  I do feel popping in my abdomen but can't imagine this much pain could be from gas, could it???

I'm not having any blood in my stool, not really formed BM's yet but not loose either - sort of very small, thin in-between.  Some mucous at times. I am going to my primary care doc this afternoon for some blood tests, and back to Mayo tomorrow to see the GI (the 'real' GI this time who's been in this field a LONG time - not the resident they stuck me with the past year who told me to stop my meds and put me into a flare!)

Has anybody had this and have it just be from IBS, gas or even UC when you aren't bleeding? What else could it be? All I can think of is kidney stones or pancreas issues. I'm a bit nauseas as well.

Well primary care doc did some xrays and didn't see any kidney stones, no obstructions in the colon and she even said no excess gas! (it sure FEELS like I have excess gas!).  Blood tests for liver and kidney were normal, even my white blood cell count is back to normal after being high while on Prednisone.  Urine test normal too. So I guess I'll see what the GI says tomorrow.
She did prescribe me some painkiller that isn't a narcotic so hopefully will not constipate me - can't remember the name of it now.  Hopefully that will help me sleep!

So assuming its either some inflamation in my colon or my groin injury, or both. It sure hurts today though!
