Has anyone found these to be accurate for them?

I found these tests highly unreliable. I am allergic to strawberries and hazel nuts but when I had the blood test to check for environmental allergies, it came back negative - tell that to the rash I get from strawberries and the throat closing from hazel nuts! My daughter also has a lot of food allergies, one of them is shell fish. She breaks out in hives, once again the blood test came back negative.

So I pretty much tell people to just listen to your body. If you have a true allergy to a food, your body will tell you.

I agree. My doctor said how inaccurate standard celiac tests are. Testing positive for only 30% of those with severe celiac disease.

However, blood testing for simple things like vitamin/minerals proves accurate.

Stool testing & saliva testing, etc is pretty advanced.
Meds: 2400mg Asacol daily
Dietary: Candida-Control Diet, Gluten-Free, VSL#3, Phytostan, ParaGuard, Similase, ADP (anti-fungals)
Amazing Herbs: Slippery Elm, Licorice & Marshmallow Root / Peppermint & Chamomile

Grad student, diagnosed severe Crohns/UC - Sept. 2011
In the past, SCD=remission, Metametrix lab tests reveal yeast overgrowth.

That is so crazy. It seems to be accurate for dairy, but I also think I cannot digest dairy currently. But yeah so strange mine said squash was a no yet I have been eating a lot and not seeing any obvious reaction to it

Like I mentioned, listen to your body. Allergy testing is not perfect and you will find there can be many false negatives and false positives. I truly have no faith in blood tests - to me I feel that the skin test is a bit more accurate but I don't think they test for food allergies on the skin test.

i think they are pretty accurate - i can't give you exact results and how they compare to my body, but the testing did tell me i have an extreme intolerance to gluten and grains - and trust me, i do - corn and rice are quick reactors, but gluten is the slow devil - that's why for me this has been such a long learning curve to healing - i give up gluten for months and start feeling good so i say, hmm, maybe i can ....... so then i start eating the baddies and feel fine ..... for a while - then i get smacked big time - then i get smart & stop eating that crap again, but it takes months again to get back to wellness -

have you read anything about blood type diets - the news is about the same for me = i'm an O+, which means i'm a meat guy - not so much a grain guy --- so getting sick at the height of my vegan lifestyle, was a disappointment but not much of a surprise since i was eating NO meat and lots of grains - again, not an exact profile but very close like the actual testing - here's the link : http://www.drlam.com/blood_type_diet/blood_o.asp

ultimately, your body will tell you what works and what doesn't - but it does take time - it's also more difficult when you are taking drugs to determine what your body is doing  - while i definitely support their use, i don't believe they are a necessity for everyone -

I have found these to be useless. Had them done years back and again a year ago and both times, foods that I tolerate very well show up as allergic, while things that cause me definite distress or outright flaring do not register.

What's crazy is mine said grains weren't an issue or potatoes. Actually wheat/gluten was but not oat, rice, corn. Those 3 had very low ratings and potato was not an issue at all so now I'm thinking to try these or not to lol.

I think they're accurate. I went to an allergy and got tested. However, the blood type diets are BS.
