Saw a thread like this years ago and got a kick out of it, so I thought it might be fun to start one again. My favorite off of the list I saw before went something like:

Dx mild/moderate ulcerative colitis 1995
Dx severe ulcerative pancolitis 2011
Remicade (intolerant), Wellbutrin (100mgs x2), Asacol HD (4800mgs), Rowasa, probiotocs, L-glutamine, omegas, vitamin D, MMJ. No wheat, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, processed foods... totally CLEAN diet.

When you've seriously considered opening a drive-thru restroom chain so you don't have to lug 2 kids out of the car and into strollers every time you need to go!
Diagnosed with moderate to severe UC 7/2007 at age 25
Meds: Lialda 4.8g/day, Generic Rowasa 60mL as needed
Supplements: Probiotics, Vit D, L-Glutamine, L-Threonine
Diet: No meat except fish, no milk, low sugar
In remission after a year long post partum flare.

Everyone is envious of you because you can eat how much you want and still stay thin.
Diagnosed with UC in '02

Current Treatments: Apriso 1,5g, SCD diet, Cortenemas
Currently flaring since beginning of '12 descending colon to rectum.

You know you have UC when... Sticking things up your butt has become second nature to you; just another nightly chore.
Meds: 2400mg Asacol daily
Dietary: Candida-Control Diet, Gluten-Free, VSL#3, Phytostan, ParaGuard, Similase, ADP (anti-fungals)
Amazing Herbs: Slippery Elm, Licorice & Marshmallow Root / Peppermint & Chamomile

Grad student, diagnosed severe Crohns/UC - Sept. 2011
In the past, SCD=remission, Metametrix lab tests reveal yeast overgrowth.

You have more pills on your kitchen counter than your 83 year old parents.

Step 1: J-pouch surgery (Laparoscopic restorative proctocolectomy w/ temporary diverting loop ileostomy) 6-25-10
Step 2: Take down surgery (Ileostomy reversal) 10/8/10
No more UC and no more drugs!! Very happy with my results of this surgery-got my life back! :)

~vitamins/minerals/supplements; Probiotics....(RenewLife Ultimate Flora Critical Care+Primadophilus Reuteri capsules @ bedtime)

... when you come out of the bathroom and everyone has a pitiful look on their face even when you just went to pee.

... when you're belly is growling and everyone thinks you're hungry. Only your best friend asks you if you need to use the restroom.

All of your family buys stock in Kimberly-Clark due to the demand for Depend undergarments.
 
You know the exact number of 1"x1" tiles on the floor in the restroom where you work.

You could write toilet paper and bathroom reviews for days
You know the exit numbers and associated bathroom locations on trips
You have a toilet paper rating system
Your friends come to you for advice on how to clean a bathroom
You always sit where you can make a fast exit

Russian Roulette and "just hemorrhoids" - so true!!!
UC sufferer diagnosed July 2011
One never ending flare
Asacol, Lialda, and Colazal = worthless for me
Imuran/Azathioprine = bad liver and pancreas values
Remicade = First dose was a success but subsequent doses were useless
Prednison = only drug that works, still flare horribly on 20mg.
Paleo Diet = hospitalized with first flare while on Paleo

Step 1 of 3 scheduled early September.

diet: gluten-free vegan, no beans except soy.

no one's stomach growling can even come close to yours
UC sufferer since 2004; finally diagnosed in 2006.
Had 3-4 flares. Currently in remission for about 4 years now :)
Diet: Love teas (herbal/medicinal kinds), probiotic yogurts & supplements (really want to try VSL 3!), fruits, veggies, herbs.. etc..
Meds: Colazal ONLY during flares.
Goal: keep inflammation down & try to balance gut flora.

I was reading these and I sound like I'm watching a firework show of ooo's, yeah's and uhh huh's !!!!!!! SO AGREE and LOVE these type of posts!!

U know u have UC ..... When knowing EXACTLY where a bathroom is a must , talking about poop is like "how's the weather " And having a "diary" means writing down my food and poop,mucus and blood daily NOT my innermost feelings ! Ha!

Ps love the poop inspecter!

UC pancolitis dx April 2011 ~1 month after birth of my first child. Remission after a course of pred (hated s/e esp psychological ones!) .
Proctosigmoid flare started Jan '12: pentasa 4g/d. Enemas/supps daily. Homemade kefir daily. No iron Mv. Turmeric, licroice. Clipper started 30/7/12. Trying Paleo started 4/8/12.
