After the latest findings in colonoscopy (multiple polyps and extensive inflammation), my GI wants me off of pred and on Humira ASAP. I scheduled an appt with my primary doctor this saturday to perform the TB test, but of course my luck would give me a cold.

Can I still get this test done or should I wait until the cold passes? I am sure my GI wants me to get the TB test before I see him again to discuss Humira.

PS: I didnt have any concrete symptoms of inflammation ie. no blood, pain, etc. the only thing I had was those ribbon like stools I posted a few weeks ago.

I don't see why not, it's really just for a skin irritation, although if it came up as a problem I'd get a retest just in case the cold had an effect on the test.

I think it would be fine. It is weird to me you have to go to your PCP to get your test. My GI did it at their office.

My GI always performs my TB tests too.

But I don't think a cold should interfere with the test.

I hope you feel better soon! I don't know what's worse to be honest, a cold or a flare! Lol
