Yesterday I was very sick and I had to vomit. So I waited with my meds intake. I took them towards the evening when I normally take them around 10 or 11 am. Today I'm getting back to my normal schedule.

Today I'm having the withdrawal symptoms I know from pred. I've been off pred so I know this cannot be it anymore. I'm having muscle pain around my shoulders, neck, back and tummy. Really annoying.

Could this be happening because I took Uceris a lot later yesterday?

That's a good question since there is no taper down information with this medicine. If it's like Prednisone, then should we be taking only 1/2 a pill or something like that? I'm meeting with my dr tomorrow and hopefully they can shed some light on what we need to do.
Prescribed Asacol rarely take it.

Let me know what he says. I know there is a 6 mg pill but I haven't seen a 3 mg pill when I priced out the drug with my pharmacy.

I'm not sure there is a 6mg pill that is available. I know that in studies they used 9mg pills and 6 mg pills but I have never seen or heard of anyone who could get a 6mg pill. I looked on my health insurance website for Uceris costs and all they had available for prescription coverage was a 9mg pill.

Andrina my Dr suggested that when the time comes to end the Uceris treatment that we will taper down to maybe a pill every other day. It sounds like it's a wait and see situation because the medicine is so new. Hope that helps.

I'm not worried about tapering. The muscle pain is also gone now that I'm back on my normal schedule.
