Ok I am looking for anyone who may have tried treatment with Robert Ginsburg who uses distance energy healing for many ailments. His website is very informative and I have had the initial free treatment and chat with him 3 days ago.

It's now come to the point where I am in a dilemma to go ahead and pay for 2 to 3 months treatment for 600 pounds a month. It's not the money that bothers me but because my symptoms are erratic but under control with pred and aza i am not sure whether it has started to work for me.

I wanted to know whether any of you out there had heard or experienced anything with this healer?

For information just google robert ginsburg colitis and his information will come up. I am looking to try him as I am dependant on pred and desperate to come off them. Currently on my 3rd attempt to come off and I am now on 4 mg per day at a reducing dose of 1mg a week.

Thanks in advance

Oh god. I think you can send money to any of us on this forum, and we will be glad to distance heal you, just with the disclaimer or caveat that we cannot promise any results from this treatment tongue

Seriously, that distance healing business is a crock, nothing more than a ripe old pile of doo-doo. Save your money and spend it on something useful.

We're available...can't promise healing, but it'll cost you nothing and you'll gain LOTS of common sense and knowledge.

No cure for UC....just get that glued into your brain first...

I wonder if this guy has told his GI he is on distance healing?? GIs sometimes don't like alternatives. Hopefully they have another level of reaction for distance healing... it would actually be kind of insulting to some if the GI treated distance healing in the same category as other alternatives.

Or worse you tell the GI about distance healing and he says "might be worth a try, doubt it would work but couldn't hurt if the distance healer is truly far away, you wouldn't get his germs then, some of my patients have been trying crazy probiotics and diets and even... well I won't say but dangerous stuff, as long as you keep with the harmless stuff like distance healing I'm OK with you exploring alternatives."

In all seriousness to the original poster. I don't mean to make fun. Well I do but I don't mean any harm. I hope you become a contributor to the board, you could learn many good strategies and treatment options. If you are against pharma meds then OK, but don't try distance healing, there are lots of other things you could consider that I am sure people will tell you about.

more harm in saying nothing...the OP asked.

If the OP actually has UC and is interested in knowing more...he/she will stick around.

personally, I think it's spam.

A bunch of haters in this thread. I went to the guy and he did his thing over the cell phone. He was in his car at a stop light. Anyways, he said some magic words and I had a 10 years remission.

I have to call him again for another 10.

It works!!!one!

If I'm being brutally honest, I rolled my eyes and snorted when I read the OP.

As others have said, you'd be much farther ahead to keep your money and become an active participant on the forum -- you'll learn a lot!

people take advantage of themselves through desperation.

There are always things out there that can be tried, and countless testimonials to support it..lol.

And I get crap from suggesting rectal meds...I'd be rich by now.

Don't bother. If anything, try changing your diet around to something like the SCD or Paleo Diets. Hell, get yourself checked out for any deficiencies like Vitamin D. Look into Probiotics, as well. Just whatever you do, don't go through with this BS.
Currently On:

Mezavant 1.2G, 2 tablets twice daily
Vitamin D3, 2 1000IU tablets daily
Lactobacillus Acidophilus 2 billion bacteria per capsule, 2 capsules daily
Apo-Ferrous Gluconate 300(35)MG, 1 tablet per day

What the heck man, save your $2500 or if you have a lot of it, donate it to someone needy.

If someone tells you, they cure autoimmune diseases, they are selling snake oil. The current remedies only keep them under control but do not cure because nobody knows *** is going on that triggers these autoimmune conditions.
And if he is so good, he should apply for a grant for a double blind randomized trial. If he wins, it will save so much taxpayer's money (and I will be one of those who will lose jobs).
Diagnosed March 2007 with left sided UC.
Currently on daily dose of,
Sulfasalazine 3gm, Imuran, 200mg, Vit. B12, 1mg, Multivitamin, 1 tablet, Fish oil 2400mg , Vit D 2000 IU, Benebiotics 2caps, Folic acid 1mg

Verapamil 320mg, Nortryptyline 20mg for migraine, Migraine episode now at least 4X a month,
Nabumetone 750mg as an abortive, so far so good with GI side effects.

My step mom being a naturopath or whatever I hear all about this stuff. I can tell you it does't work lol. Otherwise I'd be healed for sure, haha.

Actually what I find the funniest thing ever is how all these naturopaths, distance healers, blah blah... All these people tell people how quickly they can heal, how they only need to make a few changes, how our med's are killing us and poising us and on and on... They'll make your cancer better, or IBD, or whatever disease you can think of - they can fix it.

BUT

There are two naturopaths up the road from me that my step mom works with. THEY BOTH are currently on Prednisone and one just finished a course of antibiotics!! In fact if you go in now you can tell their in the midst of Pred mania cause they're all over the place going a mile a minute and still trying to hook people up to energy machines, cram supplements down customers and so on.

It's really pathetic actually. There was an old lady paying $80 to get hooked up to this energy reading machine and here is the operator (the one naturopath) stops and comes to the front to take his dose of Prednisone...

Brutal.

I used to believe a little in this stuff to a degree - now ZERO.. and I really don't have any respect for naturopaths whatsoever.
Diagnosed Crohns-Colitis 10 years ago - Past Meds: Antibiotics, Prednisone, Methotrexate, Imuran, Remicade - Current Meds: Imuran 150mg/daily, Natural: WOO/Thyme Oil, All organic food no additives. Reuteri and Plantarum probiotics.
