So, just when I thought I had my new "normal" BM routine down....my butt surprises me with the gift of having to take FOUR dumps while out doing some shopping at walmart. shakehead They were all solid, but I'm always a morning pooper. If its in the afternoon I'm pretty much done poopin, even if I haven't gone yet. Well, guess my guts got confused with day light savings time or something, cause there I was, beautiful afternoon, taking four giant dumps at walmart, all within about 45 minutes. Guess I shouldn't complain, I made it to the can all four times, wasn't even a photo finish, and they were all solid...but still...who the hell needs four dumps while at walmart. I was starting to wonder if security was going to interrogate me....like I must be shop lifting or something.... Lol, nope, I'm just blessed with a god darn pooping disease. How glamorous.
Meds:Asacol HD 2/day. Elavil 20mg/day. Supplements: Probiotic (ultimate flora 50billion) 4 Metamucil caps/day. Diagnosis:First Colonoscopy (dec2013)showed inflammation/ulcers but biopsy didnt show ibd. flex sig (feb2014) showed remaining inflammation, waiting on biopsy results, and diagnosis. IBS-D for 10+ years, diagnosed by verbal symptoms only, questioning that now....

love it!!
Maybe your body was using this lovely afternoon to help you with your anxiety! :D
show you that you can make it to the bathroom... over... and over... and over... and over.... again!

Sometimes getting out and doing things gets my intestines going. I swear my guts are like an over excited dog... oh.. were gunna go for a ride?! gunna go for a ride?! and they start wagging all over the place and I'm trying not to drive my car off a bridge. lol

that's quite a few dumps for one shopping trip. I remember when that happened to me a while ago and someone took my cart and emptied it. I was so angry because I had full intent of finishing shopping, I just had to stop and use the bathroom.

I blame Walmart. I don't know what it is about that place, but I can't walk in there without having to poop. My poor kids have been stranded in the stall with me for as much as 45 minutes at a time. Lol.

OMG this happens to me too haha. What is it about? In fact if I'm constipated I'll got to Walmart to relieve it. Have we stumbled onto something?

Dear OP: examine what you ate before it happened. It sounds like an IBS reaction, one I'm familiar with. When I was in full-flare mode it was never easy to pin down what problem foods were but after getting into remission the multiple BM's could be clearly tracked to trigger foods. Perfect looking stools multiple times for me is IBS.
Current diet=modified Paleo+potatoes, hard cheese
In remission April 2010 after 10 years of UC with no remission ever
gluten-free (bleeding stopped) and dairy-free (less gas) started remission path+food diary
current meds=(9)Balsalazide daily (mesalamine enema only when needed)
Rx meds have never worked for me except for mesalamine enema
Added probiotic "Pearls" (Primadophilus reuterii) Dec2013

A couple of you mentioned it might have been something I ate or ibs. I've dealt with (what I've called) ibs for years, but that felt very different than this. Also, I'm thinking this is still to do with my inflammation because I poop four times a day once or twice a week. It's like I get backed up a little then open the flood gates. My inflammation is only in my lower rectum rea, and I've heard it's common to get mixed signals with this kind of inflammation?!? Funny how many of you are frequent walmart poopers! I like shopping there because they have loads of bathrooms at both ends of the store, lol, poopers paradise.

I took 7 at Costco in the period of 2.5 hours. Several times I had the whole men's room laughing due to the large amount of comical flatulence that accompanied the BMs. {sigh} It was a good day.
45 Year Old Male, Diagnosed with Pancolitis Sept 2009, believe my case was brought on by NSAIDS and overuse of Antibiotics among other factors. Done with Remicade as of 12/28/2012, started 8/15/2010, didn’t see any major results or remission.
Supps/Vitamins - You name it I'm taking it!
ProBs - Metagenics Ultra Spectrum, looking at others to try.

Thank you all, I needed a good laugh.

I reminds me of when I was really flaring and I took my 85 y/o father to Walgreens. When we got back into the car I told him I had GAS. He said, "I know." How, Dad? I was walking behind you. Yuck. I can only imagine what the others in the store smelled.

I agree, it IS totally Walmart's fault!! When I was flaring, no matter what time of day I went to a Walmart, I was guaranteed at least 3 rushed trips to the bathroom!
