I'd like to see the stool after I use the bathroom but never can because of the toilet being so cloudy. It's not from urine, but from stool, the diarrhea part of it. I'll have diarrhea, bubbly foamy gas, and sometimes a semi formed stool to follow. But I can never see the formed stool due to the cloudiness. Reasons for cloudy toilet water?

I don't know exactly but my assumption has been that my stool is so soft, it dissolves in the water making it cloudy.

One thing for sure, clear water in the toilet is what you want to see!

It sounds like it's the diarrhea making the water cloudy. When you flush does the water moves your stool around so you can see it a little better?
Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2005 and rheumatoid arthritis in 1998. On Remicade since 2005 for both diseases. For UC tried sulfasalazine, Lialda, colazal and others which made me ill. Started 50 mg. Imuran July 2015. Use Bentyl, peppermint oil capsules and Gas-X which all help with various UC symptoms during a flare. VSL3 didn't work for me.

I agree with the other posts.

Maybe if you were quick on the handle, you could flush the clouds away before the turds exit the barrel.

Just a thought.

Yeah, I try to hope for the flush to make it push to the top for a second but never any luck. Thanks for the replies, didn't know if there was something specific causing the cloudiness in the D or not but I'll just let it be for now.

How often are you going?

Stop the fish oil and maybe the curcumin to see if that has any effect. Add a good probiotic.
Add a fibre supplement.

You have lots of gas and transit time it seems.

I stopped the fish oil a while ago (gotta update signature). I just started Metamucil today actually (pills). It says I can take up to 2-5 pills up to 4 times daily. That's a pretty broad range, since we're talking about it, do you have a recommended amount because basically I could take up to 20 pills a day which seems like a lot (plus there's only 100 pills so that's only 5 days)

Start with one capsule at breakfast and one at supper. Do that for a few days and see how you do. Then add one more to breakfast and supper...etc.

I take 6 twice a day with breakfast and supper (I only eat 3 main meals a day).

Yeah, keeping up with signatures is a good thing. I have to update mine too.
