Get heavy feeling sometimes when wake up in the morning.

I am 29 years old and gained 16 kgs in 8 months. According to chart i should weigh between 71 and 79 kgs and right now i am 83 kgs.
I was having health related problems (headaches and tirdness) so one day i got my BP checked and it was high - 150/110. (Also when i have a late meal i get headache and then the BP goes high).
After diet control it came down to 140/100 then 130/100 and when i went to doc this morning it was 120/98.
My problem is that i am having a feeling that something is wrong with my heart (feel little heavy).
The doc has given me medicine for high BP and asked me to come back for another checkup later. She has asked me to stop gymming and jogging until then.
Am really scared. What is wrong with my heart :(
God save me.
Also i have cold and cough for about 20 days which has reduced but not gone completely.

Thanks so much for reading.

Regards,

Hi Ashish, Welcome to Healing Well forum, we are happy to have you join us here.  I am sorry for what your going through.

I cant say what that heavy feeling is that your getting in your heart.  I have heart disease with a pacemaker implant and honestly havent felt a heaviness or anything other than pressure or sharp pains.

Hypertension can be a result of many different causes and doesnt mean that because someone has high blood pressure they also have a heart defect or disorder.  My first recommendation to you would be to become as informed regarding your diagnosis.  Then to also research your medication....Beta Blockers are difficult for lots of people to take and have many side effects, perhaps this may be what your feeling...I dont know.  If you have a family history of Hypertension then your diet and exercise is going to be most important to keep your bp down.
