Hello all,
I just got back from my cardiologist for my follow up from September. At that time I started to develop once more series of rapid heart beats and chest pressure. I was concerned that the possible pericarditis had returned. On the echo there was the return of a little fluid (it was completely gone in April) so possible but not definite. Went back on low dose of metoprolol and propanalol as needed and upped pain meds and added anti-inflammatories.Now I normally have low normal blood pressure and normal pulse average 117/72 and 67 hb but it started varying usually going high when my pulse went up (105 to 109). The rapid heart beats eventually went away end of November first of December. In the meantime I started getting series of delayed heart beats that were to say the least uncomfortable. It was like a squeezing sensation that would make me catch my breath. These could go on for hours. I would check my blood pressure and pulse and now the pulse was no longer rapid but my blood pressure is now getting real loopy. Readings would vary from 86/41,92/44 to 147/86. A lot of these readings were when I was doing the same thing during the day so it's not like sleeping then active! And the squeezing pressure sensation continues and is worse when I'm active or carrying on long conversations. In other words activity makes it worse. He's putting me on a cardioweb monitor but I now wonder what good that will do if I'm not having tachycardia events anymore and just these delayed beats? Anybody use one or have varying blood pressure like this?
Thanks,
Cynthia

Gah!
had another episode last night where I started feeling dizzy, my heart started to do the delayed beat and chest pressure. Blood pressure up for me at 132/76 and hr at 101 . Took a propanalol and then it leveled out but continued to feel that stupid chest pressure sensation. Man do I hate this!
