I had a stent put in my left carotid in 2001, 99% blockage and a couple dozen tias. I went back to the neurologist because the stent was starting to bother me, not painful, just irritating.
He sent me for a sonogram of both sides and then an MRA. It was the dye-injected MRA that showed the vein problem. I know that they could do something about
the right carotid having 50-60% blockage, but he did say the vein (or artery, I'm not sure yet) was inoperable.
I will see him tomorrow for a follow up appointment and two pages of questions. I was wondering if anyone has had clogged veins and used an alternative treatment in conjunction with their medical protocol.
Thanks, and I'll report back.
