Saddaze, thanks for the doc's name, I will google him.
My constipation went away after I changed the vitamins. However that is when the gerd began. Then when I was taking Prilosec and later Prevacid, my bowels went the other way. Loose and very loose. I am taking Milk of Magnesia's Colon Health now and it is working fine for me.
Have you ever tried a bowel softener? My mil swears by Rite Aids brand of stool softener. I see where the ingredients are the same as the brand Ducolax.
I do try to get a lot of fiber in my diet, that helps. It is also important to drink eight glasses of water, I drink more than that. Also something that helps constipation is a lot of walking. I do the mile walk with Leslie Sansone. I remember when I first began using her cd, I would have several bowel movements a day.
I did read somewhere, where some people who get heartburn from food not digesting, may have not have enough 'acid'.
I did the Braggs acv/honey mixture after I couldn't handle any of the PPI's and that worked for me. I took it for about two months after every meal. I am off it now and have absolutely no problems with heartburn. Getting back to the Braggs acv, I also read where this could help digestion, so maybe that is what it did for me.
PS, I just bought Metamucil's wafers, for making sure I get enough fiber. I have read and heard good things about them. They have Psyllium in them, which is suppose to be a good thing.
