Hi there,

I am 31 years old and I work in the IT industry. On 11th of July I had a feeling like something was stuck in my throat. I thought I was going to puke but it dint happen. After that I started burping continuously and I was not able to eat anything.I had that feeling for two days. I went to Gastro specialist for diagnosis. He said the condition was GERD and wanted me to go for an endoscopy to find out what is causing this reflux.Once the endoscopy was done, it was found that I had Duodenal Ulcer and it was caused by the bacteria H.Pylori.I was prescribed this Pantocid HP kit (Clarithromycin+Pantoprazole+Amoxicillin) tablets for a week. Once this course of medicine was finished, I was prescribed to take Pantocid 40mg for a month (should be taken in the morning before breakfast) and Sucrafil (2 times a day - after breakfast and after dinner). I am done with 2 weeks of medicine now ( Pantocid HP kit and 1 week of pantocid 40 mg with Sucrafil).I was also prescribed to take this medicine Diovol an antacid.(whenever I get the feeling of something stuck in my throat).I was advised to eat for half stomach and to avoid oily and spicy foods.I took a week off from my work during the first week of my medication.Though am able to eat food (in less quantities) sometimes I get that feeling of something stuck in my throat again.Whenever am hungry and I don't eat immediately I get this feeling of food stuck in my throat.Only after eating something and drinking a lot of water am a bit relieved.I am not able to concentrate on my work because of this.Every two hours I keep eating something and my mind gets diverted. In the last two weeks I had worked effectively only for two to three days. They also say stress and strain will aggravate the ulcers.I travel for almost one and a half hours to office (by commuting through bus, train and walk).I am finding it difficult to go to office and concentrate on my work due to this.I have already taken off for 3 to 4 days apart from one week of sick leave because of this.Anyone experiencing this same kind of problem please share me your thoughts on this..?
