My acid reflux was diagnosed in April due to sore throat that doesnt go away. When ENT did a scope, he said I have throat burnt (thats where he diagnosed me as GERD)

But the sore throat went away after taking his sore throat medication.. but right now it still feels tight on the right side (burn area) and I feel like the swallowing is only on the left side... Swallowing, drinking, eating is no problem I have no problem but I still feel like it may still be there. Esp when my anxiety acts up on me.. I panic easily. I cant swallow. I cant breathe..

I'm going for endoscopy on thurs.. was thinking should i go for the ENT for a follow up on my throat? Its freaking expensive in my country for these procedures. rolleyes

I would suggest that you undergo
1. The  Upper GI endoscopy
2. 24 hours pH monitoring
Once you have the results of these tests you can talk with your Dr. re whether or not you need another foollow up with an ENT.

Anxiety is frequently a huge source of many of our physical problems.

I wish you the best and do keep talking with us.

Anxiety makes it all worse. It is pretty common with these conditions to have anxiety. But I know that when I am relaxed and distracted my symptoms are not as bad. I know it is hard. Go through the testing. I am currently doing it all also. I put it off for years because I did not want to deal with it but as I have gotten older I realized that I really just need to find the time and get them done.
Diagnosed GERD, no other medical conditions (this one is enough)
