tongue  Hi everyone.I am writing to tell you about a product that I have just started using. It is called a salt pipe...any one heard of it? Basically it is a small inhaler that you breathe through the mouth and exhale through the nose.and it gives off minute amounts of sea salt that you inhale for 15-20 minutes a day...the salt is nothing like the salt we use in the home that has additives but natural salt from caves in Russia.I was very sceptical about it but was able to contact users in the UK VIA E-MAIL AND THERE TESTIMONIALS WERE AMAZING.I have been using it for a week now and the relief I have had for my asthma, nasal drip and sinusitus is amaxing. When you first use it there is quite a salty taste but after 2 days that disappeared.I have reduced my reliever [ventolin] and preventer [symbicol] by 1/4 in one week and I feel so well...better than I have for 10 years.I coughed up lots of mucus for 3 days but since then no coughing, wheezing or shortness of breath...its amazing....and an added bonus is having sound sleep at night is wonderful. It has been used for copd, asthma and emphasemia with excellent results.I have used diet, alternative meds and much more to improve my asthma but this little pipe the size of a mobile phone has changed my life.If anyone is interested I will happily give address of suppliers.[dont think it is avaiable in usa at the moment]Its not that expensive and has a life of 5 years...I am not promoting a product...just sharing my discovery.Think about it and breathe well  luv groovey.

I've heard about these, Here in the U.S.A you can find something like a salt candle, sold at most malls. It's supposed to have that same effect of the salt caves.
I would also add it's buyer beware type of item, if it works for one person it might not work for someone else.
But that's a chance you take. I might get one someday, but right now they are pretty pricey.
thanks for the info groovey, it's nice learning about new stuff.
Soft hugz to you groovey and everyone.......

groovey is right! We live in the US and our daughter has been successfully using the halite salt pipe from the Miocene Mines for 8 months now. She WAS a chronic asthmatic and now for the first time since she was 2 years old, her asthma is held at bay with only 20 minutes a day of inhalation dry salt therapy. Her need for heavy meds, i.e. albuterol, steroids, etc. has been reduced by up to 85% or more. On the occasions when she does need albuterol from time to time for a persistant wheeze, the salt pipe prolongs and makes the medication more effective than prior to using it. It works well with or without meds because it is all natural.

For the sceptical and scientific side that pushed us to investigate more of why and how the salt pipe works, we've learned that this mineral salt inhaler optimizes the inhalation which produces microscopic particles, invisible to the human eye, that deposit onto every surface of the lungs, including the bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli (air sacs) and pleural (lining). In turn, these penetrating salt particles kill microbes which lead to a reduction of inflammation and enhance cilia mobility in the bronchi, facilitating the elimination of phlegm and foreign allergens and rendering much needed respiratory relief. Performing as a "mucokinetic" (mucus mobilizer), the micro salt particles restore the normal transport of mucus and unclog blockage in the bronchi and bronchioles. The inhaled salt (NaCI) acts as an absorbent, or solvent to the edema (excess fluid causing tissue to swell) from the mucosa lining the airway passages and has natural, non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory properties; offering organic treatment to the respiratory tract. Chronic conditions such as asthma and other respiratory illnesses are diminished as a result of the widening of the airway passages and the relief of bronchospasm through facilitation of bronchial secretions.

The good news is that it is now in the USA. We found ours from an organization called SaltRocks! that I believe still sells it for $59.95 with free shipping and a full money-back guarantee with a Price Match Promise Plus policy (would have to check to see if that's still current). Wouldn't say that is "pricey" considering it lasts for 5 years @ 20 mins/day compared to buying drugs, visiting emergency rooms and urgent care centers, etc. for all the critical care involved with respiratory distress! They also provide very useful and intriguing information all about salt therapy and its history, etc.

Best Wishes, groovey!  :-)

SnowyLynne:

You're not dense. In fact, very smart for even bothering to check... The price is $59.95 without tax and without shipping.

You have to click on "Ready To Buy" to be taken to the store where you'll see the price and more details, etc.

But it's not just about the price here...

Other sites offer that price too or slightly more but do not offer free shipping or the money back guarantee or the price match plus.

So be sure to add up all advantages before you buy your all natural salt pipe inhaler!

yeah

Hi y'all

The salt pipe is fantastic, they really work and pretty quick too. I was a heavy smoker for 20 years, finally gave up 3 years ago and whilst I felt a lot better I still had a certain amount of bronchitis, tight chest, cough etc. worse in winter of course. My doctor felt that I had probably done permanent damage to my lungs which I accepted, my situation was my own stupid fault after all.Tried a salt pipe 6 weeks ago after hearing about them on a radio show and I can honestly say that I am amazed, the bronchitis is all but gone my breathing is fine, no more wheezing and coughing and heaps more energy...a friend who I hadn't seen for about 18 months thought I had had a face lift because I look so much better, also my circulation has improved. The benefits started after a couple of days use...I could literally feel it working. I am the worlds biggest skeptic but I have no hesitation in recomending a salt pipe to anyone with breathing problems. I have no experience of asthma but there are many positve reports and the doctor on the show I heard was an asthma specialist. These things have got to be worth a try, better than a lifetime on steroids. God bless xxx

Groovey, I'm so happy you found something that works! :) I'm wondering, would the salt pipe be as affective for someone who has a cold? Or is this something that you have to use on a regular basis to get the most out it?

Thanks for the info Groovey. My cold is mostly gone now and I don't get sick too often. Maybe once a year. Usually I don't just get a cold. It starts out that way but it usually ends up going into something else because I am on an immune suppressing medication. But so far *knock on wood* this is just a cold. :)

Thank you for the offer to send me a pipe but I don't give out any personal information on the internet for security purposes. That was very thoughtful of you though!

Hi everyone, I have now been using my little salt pipe every day/ twice a day for 15 minutes, for the last 6 months. The results have been amazing and I feel so much freer from the asthma that rueled my life.I still have to take my ventolin and symbicort daily but not as often.I will be honest and admitt that I still get worried that my allergy asthma will flare up and always have my reliver by my side but I now use it only as and when I need it and not as prescribed.[It was 2 puffs a day 4 times a day and preventer twice a day.]My doctor was more than sceptical about the pipe but after 6 months and seeing the increase in my peak flow fro 250 on average to now 400 average she now accepts that my little pipe is helping me.An added bonus is that my blood pressure that was high for 4 months is now normal 10/80 for last few months and I will not have to go on tablets to control it...I really did not want to take any more medicatio!!!I know I go on about this little pipe and may get on others nerves talking about it but it has changed my life and I want to share my happiness....luv to all grooveyxxx
