Just wanted to give you my sympathies as you had said your
pet dog was being put down. The first few days are hard...

Thank you Chartreux for your kind words.  I guess I am still indisbelief that my dear Rusty is gone. It was hard waking up to not having him.  I think I just need time to adjust and keep myself busy. I know I did the right thing and that he is at peace and dancing somewhere with my other dogs. He did look at peace and the shot took very quickly and he just went to sleep.  I just have to work around my tears.  At least I have another dog at home to keep me company. It helps to write out my feelings and I have time to recover before the holidays. Thanks again for being my friend and caring.  By the way my wheezing is getting better already so I guess the dog was adding to my problems.
