Hey,ive had allergy related illnesses since I was a baby. My first sinus infection was when I was 3 weeks old! shocked After this,I had a ear infection every 2 weeks,my ear drum busted when I was 3.
Then the problems turned into strep throat every month, till I came down with scarlet fever when I was 7.

Then after that I never tested positive for strep again,NEVER!!

I moved from ILL to Oklahoma right after I had scarlet fever when I was 7.

Then my allergies and ear, nose and throat problems had disappeared, till I was 25,then the sinus troubles came back.
I dont know if my sinus problems are do to the fact I have ms,or not, but I was dx with ms when I was 26.
Last fall,I had 6 sinus infections.

A MRI I did for a ms flare this june, showed I had a polyp in my sinus cavity. so my neuro sent me to a ENT who did a CT scan,It didnt show what my neuro was seeing, but it did show that my left maxillary cavity was 90% blocked.

Just this summer I had a allergy test done. The skin one didnt work so the ENT dr did a blood test, that came back negitive for any allergens for our area. weired!!

Now this fall,im having troubles with my maxillary sinus.
I have pain in my face, the whole left side. My jaw,and teeth on my top half of my face, are throbbing, and I have a whole lot of pressure.

My question is,does the surgery to drain my maxillary cavity really work, and for how long,is it wroth all the troubles?
Ms dx,
wow what a ride, can I get off it now...????

My name is alyson,Im 29 years old,but I feel much older than that..
I take it one day at a time for 3 years now,but the time seems to be going by soooo slow.
I look forward to nap time and bed time everyday.

I really don't know much about MS and if it has any correlation to sinuses. Have you asked the doc that you see for your MS about this? Question - do you still have your tonsils? The reason I ask is because I used to get repetitive sinus infections as well as other infections including strep. After getting strep 4 times in one year, my primary sent me to have my tonsils removed. Since I had them removed, I only get sick now maybe once a year but that is usually only a cold. I was tickled pink and even though the surgery left me feeling totally miserable for 2 weeks, I would gladly have it done again! Sorry I can't answer any of your other questions, but I'm sure someone will come along soon.
