Has anybody weaned a moderately asthmatic child from Seretide?

Is there a reason why you want to wean? I don't know anything about this med but hopefully someone will come along and help you soon.

I want to wean my son from Seretide because his growth is stunted because of the long use of this medicine.

He started taking this since he was 2 years old. He just turned 8 but his height is the same 2 years ago.

Thanks a lot for all your relies :-)

I will visit my son's pedia pulmonologist this weekend so she can make adjustments in his medications, if needed.

Actually, we tried to wean him from his medications couple of years ago but when he caught a viral infection (the usual trigger for his asthma) his asthma got worse so we stayed with his old asthma management plan.

He is much better now (no attacks for 2 years) and his allergies improved a lot.

Only his growth is the problem now. Weight and height did not improved for the past couple of years.

His younger sister, who is 2 years younger and also taking Seretide (yet lower dose), is about his weight and height too.
