Hello,
I've had CU for almost a year now and it has been a nightmare!  I have previous posts on here so I won't go into to much detail on my struggle with CU.  In October 2009 I decided to face my depression and anxiety and I started taking cipralex (antidepressant), and ativan (antianxiety).  It has taken a few months but starting in mid-January I began noticing that my hives were getting better!  They're still not gone completely but they are a lot better than they were.  They still tend to get worse at my time of the month.  I know having CU sunk me into a bad depression but I think I've had anxiety for many years.  I don't know if this is the cause of my hives but I thought I'd post this incase it helps somebody else.  I'll keep posting on my progress.  Hang in there CU sufferers!  smile

My MIL also suffered from CU for about 2 years and she was going thru a very stressful time in her life. Once the stress eased up, her hives went away. The body can do some pretty funny things, at times of being stressed that is for sure!
