Had a bleeding nose smhair   which took me to an urgent care center.  Bleed for over an hour smhair and was finally
"packed".

Stayed "packed" for five days.  Was "unpacked" and previous "packing" caused a rash over my face.  Luckily there was only one nostril involved.

Had to see my primary care doctor regarding meds and now cannot take baby aspirin or my aspirin based arthritis pill now.

Thank heavens I had some vitamin E liquid left to use on my unhappy nose and face.  So far as good with the nose not erupting.  Of course I am not picking at my wonderful nose at all!

Ow! That stinks!
You better leave that nose alone. It sounds like your blood's too thin.

Take care.

Something similiar happened to my best friend. She was gushing blood out of her nose, went in for packing, came home and had to go back in because it started bleeding again. Turned out that she had to have a vein/artery (?) cauterized to stop the bleeding. But she did make one thing clear, it was NOT fun to have her nose packed. I'm sorry you went thru that. Do they know what caused it?

It is dry up here in the GREAT NORTHEAST and I was very homebound during the winter after my total knee replacement on December 3rd, 2009. Naturally I did not open my windows a great deal.

Think I will have to use my humidifyer from Brooklyn (the home of the brave!) to loosen up my nostril. It is still filled up with uggies.

I can use my aspirin based-pain medicine in half dose next week (Thursday). I will skip my baby aspirin completely.

By the way the use of fexofenadine 180 (generic for allegra) has helped me this spring. Since ezema never really goes away completely I will be using it full time.
