I am 39 & for the first time in my life I have hives, I have always had  allergies, but I have never suffered like this. They started on my hands & feet & as the weeks pasted they started growing & invaded every part of my body. From the top of my head to the soles of my feet. In the morning they were calm, most werent even visable, but around 2 oclock they would begin. I w/to multiple doctors, got shots, was put on steriod & diff meds, but nothing helped. After 6 weeks of going crazy & losing my mind, I decided to do my own research (doctors were no help) I started following a low histamine diet, no tomatos, berries, spinach (and alot of other things) ( You can get low histamine diets on line) I drinks about 15 glasses of water a day and about 3 full glasses of unfilter apple juice. I added vitamine D & C suppliments to my diet plus quercetin. Also I take castor oil 2 teaspoons daily and also, I put castor oil on my hives. I am happy to say my hives are almost all gone. I only have a few flare ups a day but they are so light you can barely see them & the pain & itching is gone. I can sleep again, I can wear short sleeves again & I have never been happier. I hope this helps someone, because this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Good luck & its worth a try, trust me

I also suffer from chronic hives. I recently did the eliminaction diet which also was basically low histamine. I switched to a low histamine diet and started taking B12 supplements along with quercitin and vitamin c. I am wondering how long it took for you to see results after staring the quercetin? I believe histamine intolerance (or a sulfite intolerance) I'm just wondering how long it was before you saw results. My hives have improved so I know it's helping.

It is my belief that while some people suffer Hives because of an allegy to something..we should not slowly dismiss ANXIETY..Some like to refer to Anxiety as stress.. I think we should refer to IT as Anxiety, which is not exactly the right medical word, but seems to be the only one we have..At night, if one has an anxiety issue on a constant basis which maybe does not always show itself as a major thing...we need to remember that at night, after the days work or simply the days concerns that arose or concerns that are a constant thought (such as some family issue, love issue, some emotional issue of any type) The emotional issue may be, worry over the car breaking down, the cost, the house cost of some issue with the house or a family member or friend..Could be almost anything..The brain records all that information,,and during the day u do this and U do that..but at night in the calm of things into a sleep pattern or as we say Bedtime. the brain which is an unknown energy force at times, plays a role thatd not exactly Nice..Itch/reddness/red welts.raised red skin, can be due to this Anxiety issue (stress if u want to call it that) and I think its the Major issue/caise.
