Hi y'all,
I had my follow up appt with my pulmonologist after my ER visit last week for my asthma.  It ended up that my regular pulmo wasn't there so I saw someone different.  Wow...what a difference!  My regular pulmo didn't emphasize using a peak flow meter.  This one did.  In fact, she gave me a book from the American Lung Association and filled in a chart for an action plan for me.  I feel so good having a plan!  I'm a plan person.  She even made a copy of it for me to give my husband so he knows what to do too.  He's become a little more involved in asking about my peak flow lately since I started having attacks last week.
I'm glad to know what to do now.

Lil, that's wonderful!  I should have known as a teacher that you were a planner! lol  My cardio told me this week that he and other cardio's had OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)! lol
I found a link that discusses using a Peak Flow Meter and though you now know about this, I thought I'd put it out there for others to learn.
I sure hope you feel better soon!
