Starting in February I started feeling awful. I was nauseous in the morning and shaky. Sometimes my legs and arms felt like pins and needles. I had a lose of appetite and was losing weight. I had seen an ENT and she thought it was reflux. I saw a GI and he did a scope and said everything was clear and my biopsies all came back normal. This was going on for months on and off. I went to my allergist and they did environmental tests. Found out I had allergies to most trees, grass, and weeds. They gave me nasal spray and suggested the nedi-pot (which I was already using). A friend recommended zrytec and that seemed to help.

I stopped taking it two days ago. I don't like being on medication for too long. Well, two days later I started feeling some symptoms. My ears started to clog when I inhaled. I began feeling nauseous. I took another zrytec. Things then got worse. The nausea took over and I began to actually throw up which never happened prior. I would sweat and freeze, but no fever. My legs and arms were tingling and I felt weak. I couldn't walk very long with out needing to lay down. I ended up going to the ER. They did blood work and everything came back normal. They gave me fluids and nausea medication which didn't seem to work.

I feel lost and that this is going to be ongoing. Can this be allergies? Can this be something else? I don't know what to do anymore. Please give me some suggestions.

Sorry to read about what you are dealing with. Allergies are no fun. The thing with allergies is you cannot stop using your meds because you don't like taking it. You have two options, take meds & get better, or not take it & feel bad. What you tested positive for millions of people deal with. I have used OTC allergy medicine for years. I often switch them around so that they stay effective. Also, saline nasal spray over the counter is helpful.

The best thing to do is listen to your dr. Take care.

Thank you for the reply. I can't go back on because I am going to my ENT for allergy testing (environmental and food). I am hoping that they will start shots after that.

I am having a hard time believing this is just allergies. Yesterday I had a nonstop headache that would get worse if I was out of bed moving around. My jaw hurts.

See an allergist also. ents are great, but they don't do allergies. There's so much to learn!
