Hi everyone. I am new to this website, and am excited to find others to talk with who are also dealing with physical problems.
I have had terrible itching on my lower legs in the front and on the sides for almost a week now.  Once I start itching them, I then get little red bumps, and sometimes white bumps also.  Sometimes they are in little clusters and sometimes not.
I have not changed my detergent( Tide ) or anything else.  I do have dry skin, but try to keep cream on as much as possible.  I havent seen a doctor yet, but have been using an over the counter hydrocortisone cream which helps for a bit.
Any ideas or suggestions on what this might be??

Hi Melissa, welcome to Healingwell :) To find the true cause of this rash you need to see a dermatologist or an allergist. But to me, it sounds like an allergic reaction to something. And yes, it can still be your detergent. Sometimes things we use every day can still cause an allergic reaction. Tide just so you know is notorious for causing allergic reactions. My suggestion would be to switch to a scent/dye free soap (body and clothes) and use medicated Gold Bond lotion. The lotion you are using can also be causing a reaction. If these things don't work, then you should go see a doctor.

Take care and good luck!

Hi Melissa, I know what your experiencing, I have been through that. I can be your detergent and the moisture of the lotion will actually make it worse, it did in my case. You need to get a natural/organic lotion. If you're like me, I love wearing Victoria Secret lotions/perfumes but sometimes I can't. I have to use that organic stuff. I find cool things at Bath/Body Works or Trade Joes (Natual Food Store). The detergent I use is Tide. It's the one that doesn't have anything in it, I also use to use Dreft for babies/toddlers. It's expensive, but it helps also. The other thing that If found that worked when I had that rash was a tanning salon. I know it's strange but for whatever reason it helped. I went to a tanning salon to get ready for a vacation that I was going on and decided to tan. When my tanning sessions were over, the rash was almost gone. It was so wierd. I put tanning lotion all over my body except on the areas where I had the rash. You might try it.
