I was recently diagnosed with asthma and I am wondering if anyone else gets
the same symptoms as me. Here they are:

-Shortness of breath, like I need to breath in more air
-Tightness/achiness between shoulders/upper back sometimes mid back too
-Coughing and shortness of breath after laughing hard or during/after excersize
-Feeling an urge to yawn and deeply sigh alot, often.. every single dang day
-Awareness of my breathing often
-Feeling like my stomache is full of air at times
-Worse symptoms with a full stomache

Anyone have these symptoms??

I guess the one im wondering about the most is the yawning/sighing thing

it bothers me alot and i am curious if alot of others with asthma have it.

My son gets tightness in the chest, and wheezes if he laughs alot. He also wheezes/coughs if he runs too much in the cold weather.

Yes, I have all the symptoms. I'm so used to them, they don't bother me. Sighing is actually a good way to let the air out, yawning is probably because you are beat. Back hurts from effort to breath. Your body is trying to make up for the problems you have. Listen to your body and don't try to control it.

A smart move is to learn belly breathing. Let the belly come up and down with each breath. You can put a book on top of your belly to strengthen your belly breathing. Start with a few...inhale belly full, exhale belly tightens.

Take good care of yourself, rest and eat good food.  Hope you do ok.

Except worse on a full stomach, I have all these symptoms and no audible wheezing.
Sometimes when it gets really bad, I am yawning so hard my neck muscles pull tight, as I am just straining for air.

RE: stomach symptoms. Acid Reflux can make asthma worse. Any chance that's a problem?
