Is asthma often confused with something else. Like I said in a recent post I took a PFT when I was very sick with the flu and the test came back positive for asthma.  I know that me being sick had something to do with the outcome.  The person who replied to my post said that the reason the re****s were positive was because by me having to flu it caused my airways to get smaller and restricted.  So is it possible that I was misdiagnosed because of I had the flu.  PLEASE HELP.

I think if may be possible I guess? I donnot have asthma but my 8 year old son does. I think if you are really questioning your DX you should tell your doctor about your concerns and see what she/he has to say.
