Do you think a second mattress cover would help?

I have the most serve allergy to dust and dust mites that my doctor has ever seen. I put a mattress cover on my bed and my stuffed nose decreased by about 40% when I wake up. I sleep in the bottom of a bunk bed. The bed above me is held up by 6 thin panels of wood meaning dust mites from that top mattress may be falling on me. Do you think I should get a second hypo allergenic cover and put it up side down on the top matress?

It makes sense to me. Give it a go and see if it helps :)

Groovey,

That's interesting - I didn't know freezing the pillows could also kill dust mites - thanks!

My Allergist recommends that people put pillows in the dryer on High for 20 minutes once a week to kill dust mites.
