A drug once used to treat hayfever significantly improves symptons in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's research suggests.
Dimebon, once licenced in Russia as an antihistamine but was taken off when something better came along.
US researchers have found it can improve memory, behavour and ability to conduct simple activities like eating. Experts are cautiously optimistic about Lancet Study findings.
