cry .......I so love and miss you Dad I truly do
..........Sometimes wishing I could pick up the phone
..........Talk like we use to do

....Not many a man takes on a ready made family of 4 and then adds 6 more foster kids
......never once treating us with indeference or special from the others
I can recall fighting you all the way thinking you were taking my Mom away from me......
I could not have been more wrong ......of that I now and have seen......

......I was so close to you we fished together......we went out on the boat
I was your "tomboy" and I loved it
I have ALL those memories and more

I WILL NEVER forget the look on your face when I was asked who was walking me down the aisle my bio dad or you
I said       "MY DAD"........." My Father"
The pride you had in your Irish eyes I can still see and dang we looked so good together

Dad it was so hard when we lost Mom I know ...YOUR heart was broken...you were broken
YOU gave up and the dd Alzheimers got to you real quick

YOU would tell Cait how proud you were of her and also tell me
Dad I would not have become the person, woman mother sister friend or anything without
YOU and Mom

I so despised what this did to you
A strong independant man very very intelligent and knew all there was to know
I really did believe the sun rose with you and set with you

When you were called home Dad it hurt so much I sobbed like a babe
but I knew you would finally be out of pain and back with the woman you LOVED so much it was obvious to all
YOU and MOM showed me ( us ) how to give and love without boundaries and hurt......
YOU'S taught us so much

I know I will cry Christmas morning but it will be a cry that is telling you I am so glad you are with Mom and looking down on us and talking to me all the time........
I love you Dad......I love you for LOVING us as you did for giving us the ways to grow and to learn by our mistakes

I really do love you for LOVING MOM AND US with all you had.......

..........................................YOU are MY Hero...............................
Love forever til we meet again cry
Your oldest daughter

Awww ((Lyn)) that is truly sweet. I know that the holidays are especially tough when you lose someone you love dearly. But remember that even if they aren't there in body, they are there in spirit. And their spirit remains alive thru you. Never forget, always love....
