Thank you ! I checked out the site about nursing homes and Jim's is not listed. From what I have heard from other resident family members, this home is one of the best. From what we have seen how he is treated, everything seems okay (other than the changing of the clothes but maybe, because he acts so lucid, they think he still manages to do it on his own). Thank you for being so kind to me. You are a true blessing.

Sweetie I am glad you checked BUT I have to wonder why it is not listed .........
As for him being more lucid during the day that is great the sundowning you understand now right ?
PLease know I care about each and every person I come into contact with on this forum
I lost Mom 9 mths ago to this Disease and now my step dad is not far behind
He is going down hill more each day and I have to have him move in with me he is in a big 5 bdrm house all alone and sits in one room ........Anyways enough whining from me lol
I worked as a greiatric nurse for many yrs that is why this disease and what it does to our loved ones is so close to my heart
Dont forget if you want to talk add me to yahoo or msn it is all under my name ( info ) okay
as I know hun this is hard on you especailly knowing how he treated your mom ...........
I really give you both alot of credit for standing at his side even with all the bad past .........
Take care hun
Luvs ya

Hi D
You could no doubt do a google on the home your nan is in and or go thru state agency to finds out ratings, complaints ect
Get all the answers to questions
I know you have to have

I would suggest writing down what you want answered and then calling or searching

I wish you all the best my friend

**BTW......How is your CD holding up thru all this **

Thanks for the link. I went and checked into the particular home and was beside myself to find that the highest score they had was a B and that was for maintaining a home type setting. Every other Grades were D's and F's. Guess that is what a state funded medicaid bed gets you.
Thanks again,
Lynn,
