Hi there,

just thought id drop a line. I've been having panic attacks for the last five-six months: racing heart, feeling sick tingerling hands etc. But i've just started having a hot feeling in my elbows only for a few minutes and then it goes but its still a bit worrying.

But on the possitive side i've started to be able to clam my self down just keep telling yourself that there's nothing wrong ( i've had two EKG's, one 24hour one, three lots of blood pressure test and one lot of blood tests!) and they still say there's nothing wrong with me!
It's just so frustrating!!

Hey there Jim,

This is Kitt.  Welcome to HW and the A & P Forum.

I know how frustrating it is to feel anxious and have a panic attack.  The CBT is a great help for many members here. I will try to find the thread on CBT and bring it up top for you.

AGain a warm welcome.

Kitt

Hi Jim,

Welcome to Healing Well!!  I am so glad that you found HW - as has already been said, this is a great family and community.  You will find so many helpful people that will try to help you in any way possible.

I have dealt with anxiety and panic attacks for a long time, but recently it has gotten much worse.  So I am learning how to effectively deal with it so that it doesn't run my life.  As Lyn said you are doing great already at calming yourself down - that is a HUGE step in the right direction.

There is a thread that is above your thread that talks about CBT and in that thread are explanations about it as well as the link for the free online MoodGym CBT.  I also have been using it and it's a great way to change the way you think about yourself and the negative thoughts you have.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Wen
