Hi everyone,

I've suffered with anxiety and panic attacks for over 8 years now.  Today, I have been almost in a constant state of not being able to breath & having a racing, pounding heart.  I've had this before; and it leaves me totally weak and exhausted.  Does anyone else experience this all day like that?  It's making me want to cry...

Mogs,

Why don't you give in to the tears and see if you feel better. I have days where I have felt anxious and then I cry and wash my face and calm down.  However it starts again.  But the breaks after the tears give me some rest.  I have not had a day like this for a long time.........I know what your going through.

Gentle Hugs

Kitt

You are not alone in this!  I've had many days like this, sometimes day after day.  I know that with time it will pass, and I just keep using my cbt and breathing until it does.  It's never easy, but you will get through this.  Hang in there!

When it all gets too much I'm a strong believer in a bit of valium or something just so your mind and body can rest.

My anxiety has gotten worse w/ more complications, stress so forth. I am working on my self(doing self care is not being selfish)cuz I can only change my self. I went for a long time w/o crying and then not long ago had a goot one...A good cry goes deep to your soul and helps to relieve stress that goes w/ the anxiety. Also it helps for me to get in touch w/ the little girl who didn't always have it so great. "One day at a Time". Take care and be well. Hugz. Kota smurf

Thank you all for your comfort and support.  I am finally feeling much better.  I was still feeling the symptoms this morning, but they've finally seemed to ease off.

I was taking my Clonazepam, but it just wasn't helping yesterday.  Maybe the one I took today helped.  I was just starting to wonder if it was my other med that was bringing all of this on-Lamictal.  I am going to keep an eye on this.  I've charted my panic & anxiety symptoms in my mood chart and if it persists, my pdoc and I will talk about it.

Thanks again to all of you.  I know you all understand-Thank goodness for my HW family.  I also think that "good cry" may be coming soon as well; and I agree that is a release and usually helps me feel a bit better too.

Hugs to you all :-)
