Again, I haven't been here in a while.  Got some things going on.

First of all, I am doing a lot better anxiety, and panic attack wise.  I meet with my pdoc tomorrow morning, and plan to complain a bit about the Effexor XR.  I have been on it about 2 months, and am still so tired after taking it, that I have no choice but to sleep.  Can I take that pill at night?  She told me to take it in the morning, but that simply isn't working for me.  I am on 150 mg, and it knocks me out.  I know it isn't the Klonopin doing it to me.  I dunno, it is a bit frustrating.

So, overall there, I am doing good.  Lastnight though, I was at my brothers eating dinner, and we had an earthquake...It was small 2.7...but, I live in Ohio, and we don't have earthquakes, so it freaked me out a bit.  Plus, the power kept going out, so I was panicking a bit.  Normally I take my 2nd Klonopin before bed, but I took it early last night, because I was pretty shaken up.

I am having a good time moderating GERD...but I felt myself missing my origional "family" here at healingwell, which is, of course, you guys here on the anxiety board!

I figured I'd drop in and say HELLO!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!!

Now, it's time to take a nap...

Tammy,

Glad to hear that you are doing well!  I would definitely ask your doc about taking your meds at night.  Several years ago my antidepressant did the same thing to me and my doc said it was fine to take it at night, worked great for me...hopefully you'll get the go ahead on that too.  Sorry about last night, I think an earthquake would freak just about anyone out, especially if you live in a place not normally prone to that.  I know I'd get really upset and need my xanax!  I do hope that you will continue to move in a positive direction!

Thanks Junebug!!! I was starting to think no one was going to reply...LOL.

I am confident that I am moving only forward from here! Feels good too!

I am going to talk about taking the Effexor at night, cuz it really ruins my day. UGH.

Again, thanks for responding, and I hope all is going well for you too!

That's right machelle, it is my body, not theirs...so I am going to speak my mind, because the tiredness is simply too much for me to handle. I MUST nap, and that isn't me. So, I don't like that at all.

Thanks for your thoughts hun!

Hi Tammy,

Yes you can take Effexor at night, I have always taken mine at night, i stated on 75mg and was increased to 150mg, When i first started takeing them as you i felt very tired, but at the same time felt as though i was in my comfort zone, but after about 3 months the tiredness wore off, and now i dont feel tired when i take them, at first i had to take them with or just before food or i would feel sick, but now i can take them any time at night, (sometimes i forget to take it untill midnight) without feeling ill.

I would definately ask your P.D. to change to nght time, but you may feel strange the first time you miss your morning dose, i know if i miss a dose, i get little chrges going through parts of my body, but it subsides quite quickly after i've taken my dose.... :-)

Hey Tammy

Hello there.  I have always taken my AD at bedtime.........never had a problem with it.  I do not see why your pdoc would have an issue either.

Take care.

Some docs say the AD's make you more hyper if taken at night .....
I would think maybe this doc thinks that?? Just a thought ??

I would do as I felt comfy doing and feeling if it were i .......
Other than that sweetie you are on a roll
Keep up the good work

Thanks for the input guys.

Lyn, you are right, she said she is worried it will make me feel more uptight if I take it at night. I think I am willing to see what happens, because I can't handle being so tired all the time.

Thanks guys for all your input!!!!

I already took my Effexor today, so I am thinking maybe Friday I will try to start taking it at night. That way it's the weekend, and I have no responsiblities if I sleep weird or anything.

I will let you guys know how it goes!

Wishing you all the best.

And, I still love you guys!
