Hi katy i too have been experiencing heart palps lately. Every now and then i have them especially when i'm worried or something.I have alot of things going on right now and i'm thinking thats where mines are coming from.I was also thinking the medicine ativan may be playing a part in it as some meds will cause heart palps. My aunt who is a nurse gave me a couple of tablets of ativan to help me sleep at night and latey since i've been taking them i have heart palps and weird dreams!!!

Well, them checking your heart would not be a bad thing because you do want to rule out all the serious stuff so you can say for sure whether it's anxiety!! So let them check your heart but also let them know if your heart checks out ok that you think it may be anxiety.Because anxiety can present it self in that way and it does cause naseau and dizziness too but it doesn't hurt to go ahead and get your heart checked.I had mine checked a long while back when i first started experiencing P/A.

I'm new to this site, have suffered depression and bipolar but only in the past few months have experienced anxiety and panic attacks.  I have actually ended up in the ER because of heart palpitations, nausea and dizziness which turned out to be anxiety.  I'm in counseling as well as on meds but its a difficult thing to overcome and live a normal life

And yes I have this happen and it is from my anxiety and when I get stressed out to the max
BUT do get your ticker checked out regardless as Panike posted just to rule that out....for your piece of mind and yes by all means do tell the docs you believe it to be from A/P......if nothing shows in your heart which I am fairly wont sure but I am not a doc so do get a pro's opinion ........Let us know how things go plz......LYN
