I heard from seveal psych doctors that Wellbutrin is great for depression and other disorders but not for anxiety or panic. So if you are on it and it does NOT work, you might check into asking the prescriber.
Just a tidbit I heard.

Ha,
I am sure HE doesn't put on weight when HE prescribes it.
They all can do this, up or down. I never get the weight loss, just the gain and nausea.

Sharan your'e right about the wellbutrin! I had a DR to put me on wellbutrin some years ago around the time i first start having P/A and that was by far the worst experience i have had with any drug! First of all, your'e right it didnt help with my P/A at all! Then i use to always feel like i couldnt breathe and had absolutely no appetite! Then what took the cake i broke out with rashes! It was horrible! But let me ask you this since you are a nurse. When i went to pick up my meds today(celexa) i noticed that the patient info sheet said that it was for depression it did not mention panic or anxiety. So is celexa used for P/A too or not?

I wan't sure if this was true, my doctor and another(both psychs) both told me Wellbutrin isnt for A and PA's.
OF course, they may not be aware that for some it works great.
Glad to hear it, I woul love to be on that intstead of the Effexor monster(With the withdrawls!)

Not on Celexa, on Effexor XR. I dislike the withrawls and the need to take them EXACTLY on time every day or I get wacked.
I am doing fine on it otherwise. Thanks!

Oh,so Sharann you are on effexor, i thought you said you were on wellbutrin?I guess you were just giving us info on wellbutrin. My aunt and my mom are on effexor,my aunt said she loves it and has not had any side effects on it. My mom said she had side effects at first but she's fine now.i've been taking the celexa for about a week now and i still really haven't been having any side effects and it seems to be very effective but i'm thinking that i will probably have to go up on the dosage eventually.Well i hope everything is going ok for you today Sharann! Talk to you later!
