ok, let me explain!
I am doing CBT as a treatment for agoraphobia. The idea is I go further and further away from home. I have to go a little further every time but not too much (I am not supposed to have a panic attack but only to feel a little anxious).
This is a technic that works. I have made a lot of progress in the last year. The problem? It is very long! It took me one year to go from housebound to ... 1 mile far
At this rate I will be able to go downtown in around 10 years!!!! and to see some friends in 25 years!!!
My idea is that I could just go really far and see what happens. Maybe this is the solution. I think they call it "immersion". Of course I am really afraid I will just go crazy or die because of the stress (!)
I wonder if anybody here took this way and found it helpful?
