I was just wondering if anyone else has had to up their meds?
I feel like in the last couple days my anxiety has taken on a new face.  Instead of just have panic attacks once and a while (as well as being aware of my anxeity all the time)  I instead feel contantly scared.  If effects everything.
Currently I am on 75 mg of Effexor, and my doc suggested that I double it.  At first I didnt because I figured I would be fine.  But in the last couple days out of despiration, I finally took her advice.  I hope that I start feeling better soon.
Has anyone else had to do this??

I am also wondering if I should see a doctor about depression.
Sometime I feel like confronting my anxeity (ie. going to see a shrink..or joining groups like this) is good but for some reason brings on anxiety as well!!
Im so fustrated! !

Good Morning, I have been like a pill tester so I understand how you feel.  Yes I have had my meds up, down and discontinued only to start another round with a new drug.

Often members will post the first couple of weeks on new meds or increase in meds makes them feel worse.  If you feel you need to talk with your physcian about depression, please do make an appointment.

Take Care

I've been up and down on my meds many, many times over the years.  Sometimes life just gets more stressful and I need an extra boost with the meds to get through it and then things quiet down and I lower my dose again...with a doctors supervision of course.
I've had the same feelings about therapy, it helps me, but also creates anxiety.  I mentioned this to my therapist and she explained it well, that when you are in therapy you are dealing with big issues, or facing your anxiety head on and of course that will create more anxiety.  It made sense to me and it has helped me to remember that when I start to get a bit anxious over my appointments.  Hope you are doing better soon, keep us all updated!
