After an extended leave from everything, I'm finally back.  The last couple of months have been very difficult for me and my family and everything just kind of came crashing down on me at once.  It took much longer than expected for my husband to find a job (he's working now - yay!!), we had no money, we applied for all kinds of services and were able to get some help with things.  I applied for Social Security Disability and have recevied notification that they have determined I am disabled and I'll start receiving benefits in April.  Another yay!!

During all of this my depression was worsening each day, while waiting for the woman at the doctor's office to get her thumbs unstuck from her butt devil   I ran out of my meds, which in turn worsened the depression.  I got to a point that I knew I needed to be in the hospital or I wouldn't be here any more.  I was there for almost 3 weeks.  Now I'm feeling more like me every day, still depressed but not nearly as bad as I was.  Being back on the meds does wonders!

I'm not only back at Healing Well as a member but as a Moderator again.  I will do my best to catch up with how and what everyone is doing by reading posts and will answer new ones as they come up.  I've missed everyone here and I kept thinking that I should come here to get the support and help I needed.  But honestly, I just couldn't do anything; especially while off the meds.  I really felt like I had to hide from everyone and everything.

But I'm back and here to stay!  I'll be "talking" to you soon.  I'm so happy to be back to this wonderful family - it's where I belong!!

Love to all,
Wen

Dear Wen,
Welcome home and I am so glad to see you here and to know you are doing better.  I also am thankful that you recognize when you need to be an inpatient, thank goodness that has helped you get back on your meds and you are feeling better.

I know the feeling of being frozen in place and not being able to reach out to anyone as you cannot even think of what to do.

We are just happy your back and please take your time and ease into your moderating duties.  Remember to take care of your first.  We all understand that.

Warm hugs to you and  it is so good to have you back.

Welcome back Wen...I really missed you and was soo worried (I also selfishly missed your wicked sense of humour  okay..you've already made me giggle twice today!)

Sorry you fell down that depression hole...sounds like you've been doing it rough.  I know what it feels like to need to duck for cover sometimes.  Again, welcome back and congrats to hubby for the job

Thanks Lyn and Meg.  I really have missed being here and have you both.  Lyn, I'm glad we are back to yakking on yahoo again, it's nice to talk to someone who knows what these issues are like.

Meg, I will do everything I can to keep with my sense of humor and making you laugh. :)  Yes, it sure has been difficult to get through the worst of depression, especially since I didn't have the meds to deal with it.  But somehow I was able to crawl out of it - not quite sure how, part of is because I'm back on one of the medications and I think another reason is because the financial worries aren't so bad now that I've been approved for SSD and hubby has a job now.  Let's hope I don't go down that dark hole again.

Thanks again ladies - I'm so glad to be back.

Take care,
Wen

Wen, thats just amazing that you pulled yourself out of depression without meds.  thats a pretty amazing feat.  I'd put that on my resume!!!! I'm glad the finacial woes are over (I just got hit with a $3000 letter of demand following a car crash) so I know how it feels to be blindsighted.  It put me in a fairly poor state of mind for a few days so you must have been in mess-head land!! I hope all stays well for you, keep us laughing and again WELCOME BACK sweetie xxx
