It seems when I have a hard time dealing with my anxiety and stress levels I begin having tummy problems.
Of all kinds too! they never fit one problem or another. Then I worry even more and more.
I worry because my grand father died of stomach cancer when he was 75, Im only 25.
But still I worry!
Does your anxiety tend to cause you tummy troubles???

Hey crying, it certainly does with me.  When I'm having major anxiety I can't eat at all and I get terrible cramps.  I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago which means I never know what's going to happen! (I won't go into detail)

I've found it useful to drink peppermint tea and to avoid fatty foods when I'm anxious...also really acidic foods like tomato can be, well, a bit of a disaster...

If you're really worried the go and see your doctor...I think your pretty safe from stomach cancer at 25 (but we panickers love to imagine the worst)..I hope this helps you a little xx

I alone can do this, but I cannot do it alone.

oh man YES!!! seriously, before i knew it was panic and anxiety, i had pretty much every stomach test. I get nausea, or pain, or indigestion, you name it i get it. It starts just a little when i'm anxcious, and can last for a day, to a month, and then i worry about it and it gets worse! its so horrible!

Nyliz Im so glad you said that, cuz it seems as tho I get very painful gas and a ton of acid in my tummy and it just causes even more anxiety for me.

Boxcastle what happens to you, sounds alot like what happens to me, It can be for just a day to a month or 2 and then I worry even more!

Nervymeg I think I am going to try the peppermint tea. I have never had any before but I will try about anything when my stomach gets bad enough.
about a year and half ago I had a bunch of test run and they couldnt figure out why my stomach would bother and hurt me so much then it all just went away, So I dont know maybe in a day or 2 I'll be back to normal.

Thanks for the info!
