Hi All,
My question is not really about A/P although I'm a little anxious. I'm hoping there are a few gals out there that have had my experience.
I have not had a period for almost 2 years and know I'm menopausal. Out of the blue my breasts almost doubled in size and are really sensitive as if I'm experiencing PMS. Can this be my body trying to kick in my ovaries one last time?  Is this a "normal" menopausal experience?
Thanks gals :-)

Hello Cary,

IMHO I believe your PCP or GYN is the best person to present this question to.  I am sure you are experiencing anxiety worrying that something may be wrong but a professional is your best resource.  I hope your anxiety is put to rest soon.

Hi Cary,

I haven't been through this myself but one of the lady's I work with has been complaining of just that type of symptom... her Doc told her it had something to do with the process of menopause and the way her hormones are changing. I would definitely call and get it checked out just to ease your mind.

Good Luck

This happened to my sister, it freaked her out and she went to her doc and a naturopath..I'm not sure exactly what had happened but it was a menopause realated thing.  She takes evening primrose oil, but I'd chat with your doc first, sorry I can't be anymore help, I'll try and get in contact with my sis if i can and find out xx

I alone can do this, but I cannot do it alone.

Hi Cary,

I haven't done the menopause thing yet so I can't be of much help.  But I also recommend that you talk with your doc about this and see what may be causing this issue.

Thanks All,

Talked to Dr. on the phone last night and she said its called a hormone surge. This is perfectly normal and natural as part of the menopause process. Apparently menopause is an ongoing process and ebbs & flows - doesn't happen all at once. There's a little life in my ovaries yet! Its not a bad thing - everyone is different. I do feel like Pamela Anderson today though. Dr. said it would subside, has nothing to do with A/P meds & I shouldn't worry about it. She said I might get a period or spotting as a result.

Thanks for your input,
