I've heard anywhere from 2 - 8 weeks. If you're on it, tell me how long it took you to really feel the effects.

THANKS!!
Crohn's Diagnosed in 1996.
Currently on Humira - One syringe every other week.
Now in remission.
Have tried Prednisone, Pentasa, Flagyl, Cipro, and Imuran in the Past - they aren't effective now.
Hospitalized only once, but that was enough!

Hi there, this is Kitt.  I have been told by my Doctor that 4-6 weeks is the average for the medication to kick in completely and this is for most of the ADs.  It also will depend on how your body handles the medication.

You won't notice a sudden cure from any of the meds as there is no miracle pill but working together with you physician/therapist the medication should help you. this is my 2 cents worth. :)

I do not take this med but do use the Cymbalta.

Take care and keep posting.

I have been on Lexapro since February. Although I did feel better initally I had to up the dose twice. NOW I think I am feeling the full effect. It may take some dose adjusting. :)

When  I first started on zoloft I noticed some improvement within 2 weeks but the full effects are usually 6 to 8weeks.
