I am currently on Zoloft 100mg. I used to be on just 50mg. Things have gotten a lot better but I still seem to have headaches daily and lightheadedness. I am wondering if I should try another med. Anyone have advice for me? It would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Im sorry you are having headaches.  By chance due you have allergies?  I only ask cuz for a long time i thought my headaches and light headness were due to my meds or my anxiety but come to find out most of it was because of allergies.
I of course am not saying this is the cause of yours just throwing ideas out there. I really do hope you feel better soon!

Hi Cosmo,

If your med is causing you headaches, you really should contact your doc to discuss this and maybe try a different med that won't cause this side effect.  It may take a couple of tries to find the right one, but you really should contact your doc about this.  That's about the only advice I can give you.  I hope you feel better soon and keep posting so we know how you are doing.

Take care,
Wen

Hi Cosmo, sorry to hear about those headaches.  I had the exact same thing with zoloft (I've had the joy of trying just about every anti-dep on the planet!!) and thankfully it passed after about a week.  I would suggest hanging in there with the dose for a few weeks, but definately see your doc if the headaches and dizziness continue.  Keep us posted okay?

Hi, Cosmo Girl!

I don't have any advice about Zoloft (I couldn't survive past the loss of sleep during the first 3 days I tried it): just wondered if things are going any better for you.

I am thinking about the allergy thing, I had headaches for three days straight then I remembered that I had forgotten to take my allergy medication.

I use peppermint oil to help with headaches. I put it on my forehead and the back of the neck ( there are sinuses there also). So see if that will help you.

Good luck, make sure to mention to your doctor about the headaches, they effect everything that we try to do.

Luv and hugs, Karen
