All,

Well, the cat is now in the hospital on a round-the-clock IV.  She seemed okay initially, under the circumstances, and the vet looked at her Monday morning.  But later that day she became very lethargic, so now she's in the hospital for more serious care (her kidney values are high right now, poor thing).  It was nice that my boyfriend came straight from work today to meet me at the vet's to visit the cat, and when he cuddled her up, she just closed her eyes and purred.  We all know who she loves!

So I'm trying not to worry much, although my health anxiety extends to my cats and not just myself, as you see!  I guess we do tend to treat our pets like they were our children.

I've also been pretty run-down and head-achy today, I guess from a little relapse of whatever flu-like thing I had last week, on top of trying to catch up with some reports that were due at work while I was sick.

Dear Percy,

I hope your kitty gets well soon and knowing that she purred is a great comfort I am sure. I will say a little pray for your "child".

Hugs to you
Kitt

I hope you and your kitty are doing much better today.  I have you and kitty in my prayers.  Sounds like she got dehydrated while she was "AWOL".  Keep us updated on you and kitty.

Sending you lots of hugs.

All,

I just wanted to let everyone know that my cat is home again and got a thumbs up today from the vet. She's eating and drinking normally, so we'll soon have her back up to normal weight. She's also playing with her favorite toys: little fake colored mice that come in packs by the dozen. She loves to root around and pluck them out of the cat toy box, after which she "crows" in triumph so that the humans will recognize her great hunting skill and praise her.

Hurray, and thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers everyone!

Love,
percycat

That is wonderful news!  I am such the cat lover and love all of my cats dearly.  I would be lost without my furkids.  I lost my favorite Siamese last November and it devastated me.  We had to put him to sleep.  He was 13 and had a number of health problems but I would spare no cost to get him well.  I miss him so much!  I have three other kitties who are all rotten!  They all have their own personalities and are precious.

I hope your kitty continues to recover and is back to normal in no time!
