Days sure did pass by pretty fast, jeez... man... how's it going all, here to report again as usual lol. Lately I've been worrying I'm losing my ability to speak/do things, *yes I'm that OCD, my mind is playing insane tricks on me* but then again when I was going off the medication I was going out of my mind with even worse worries... occasionally I have times when I feel better about certain things I do and such, so that's a change but... jeez, life is going by fast and I feel just... like I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing all the time, major OCD I'll tell you that. At least it's day 11 without booze, and day 10 without Lamictal... some SMALL things have changed without being on Lamictal but that's about it...

Paulos,

Congrats on getting so far with this really difficult process of coming of lamictal and booze. Wow! You've done double duty.  I get OCD (along with all the rest lol!) and I have to challenge it every day, but I win and I get better and stronger each time.  Although I have lost my caps lock button on this keyboard and it is driving me NUTS!

Hopefully those worrying thoughts will get less and less as you move further along this path.  It can take a while to get alcohol completely out of your system, and it can make you feel like you are losing it (for a while - it passes).  Just keep doing what is working for you.

Again, congrats :-) :-)

I really hope that there IS hope for me, feels like there is none.

Paulos,

I would say to just look at what you've accomplished in this last month or so: weaning down off of you Lamictal and staying away from alcohol. I'll bet at the start that sounded pretty hopeless, but *you* did it. You have succeeded so far, and even though there may be ups and downs to come, you have demonstrated your strength in spades, my friend. You are very valuable to us, and I applaud your hard, hard work!

One day at a time,

Thanks... always have been a semi perfectionist though... and always concerned about problems in my life and issues... meh... worried about how bad my short term memory has been lately...

Paulos,

My brain was mush when I came off the bottle for at least a month.  It takes time for your brain to adjust. There is a whole world full of hope for you. :-) Just trust in it k?
